The Flex XG (sold as "Flex 10 GbE" on the UI store) brings 10-gigabit switching to the desktop: four 10 GbE ports plus a gigabit port, in a compact 135 x 185 mm box that runs on a PoE+ input or a 5V USB-C adapter. It suits a desk cluster of 10G devices — a workstation, a NAS, a high-end access point — where a rack switch would be overkill but gigabit would bottleneck. With 82 Gbps of switching capacity it keeps all four 10G ports running at full speed, and as a Layer 2 switch it handles VLANs and switching while routing between VLANs is left to the site's gateway. Management is through the UniFi Network application. Note: this is a non-PoE switch — it takes power in, but does not supply PoE to endpoints.
