The Long-Range Switch 8 PoE breaks the usual 100-metre Ethernet limit: paired with a long-range endpoint, it powers and connects devices up to 800 metres away — gate cameras, perimeter access points, outbuildings and yard devices that would otherwise need local power and a fibre run. Its 630W PoE+++ budget drives high-draw endpoints at the end of those long runs, and the 1.3-inch touchscreen gives local status at a glance. Note the port speeds: the eight PoE ports are 100 Mbps ports, not gigabit — long-range links trade speed for distance, which suits cameras and access points that do not need gigabit throughput. The separate gigabit RJ45 port and 1G SFP port are the uplinks back to the rest of the network. A rackmount accessory is included, and long-range performance requires the matching long-range endpoint.
