The Switch 48 PoE covers the standard office brief at the lowest complexity: 48 gigabit ports, 32 of them PoE+ with a 195W budget, and four 1G SFP uplinks. It powers access points, cameras and phones across a whole floor, and its fanless design means no fan noise and no moving parts to fail — ideal for open offices, classrooms and quiet rooms. As a Layer 2 switch it handles VLANs and switching, while routing between VLANs is left to the site's gateway or a Layer 3 switch upstream. Management is through the UniFi Network application, with a touchscreen on the front panel for local status. Note: this model has no Etherlighting and no RPS power-backup input — those features belong to the Pro lines.
