The U6 Plus is the step up from the entry-level U6 Lite: the same compact ceiling disc, with faster dual-band WiFi 6 radios and room for 300+ clients. It suits shops, clinics, classrooms and small offices where one or two APs cover the whole site, and it runs on standard PoE, so no special switch is needed.

It is the smaller step-down: 4 spatial streams instead of 6, and a 3 Gbps-class (AX3000) radio set — 573.5 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz — versus the Pro's 5.3 Gbps-class radios. It still supports 300+ clients, so it suits small and medium offices rather than dense halls.
Standard PoE (9 W maximum) over its single GbE uplink — a PoE switch or injector is required; it does not ship with one.
About 140 sq m (1,500 sq ft) per unit in open conditions. Walls, especially concrete, reduce that, so multi-room sites need one unit per room or zone rather than one per floor.
Yes, like other UniFi APs it supports wireless mesh uplink to another UniFi AP, so it can extend coverage where running a new cable is impractical — at reduced backhaul speed compared with a wired uplink.
